"Talking About Race"
I saw this go by on my Twitter feed today, as part of a larger tweetstorm.
Me saying things like, "Black people gotta have cornbread at Thanksgiving" had them like, "Why is everything about race with you?"

My reaction: “The heck?”
Undertale
People keep asking me to describe Undertale (which isn’t surprising since I keep recommending it) but the best I can do is its original tagline, “a friendly RPG where nobody has to die”, followed by “Um, it’s clever and cute and punny. There’s a monster called ‘Tsunderplane’.” If you know what ‘tsundere’ is and that doesn’t convince you I don’t know what else to say.
The tagline’s usually enough to at least intrigue people, but what else can I be saying?
Racism, noun
Have you ever come across one of these questions?
Can white people [in America] be victims of racism?
Can black people [living in America] be racist?
They’re not hard to understand. An answer probably automatically popped into your head that seems obvious. And yet, by being asked you know it’s a loaded question, and that someone else is going to answer differently.
It’s only recently that I’ve realized that these are probably code for a different question:
What’s your definition of “racism”?
