"Dear You" (sketch)
Today’s entry for NaCreSoMo is a cappella sketch of one of the more iconic songs from Higurashi: When They Cry.

This is the same basic style as my earlier sketch for “Love Like You” from Steven Universe, though I’m not sure it came out quite as well. I’ve actually had this in mind to do for a while, and even had an old version sitting around, but didn’t quite like how it came out then.
The family of songs referred to as “Dear You” all have the same melody but different arrangements and lyrics. The original (simply called “you”) was written for the original visual novel; my version takes its rhythm from the version called “Dear You -cry-”. (Both sets of lyrics are vague enough to not be spoilery, so you can listen to them if you want. They’re pretty different from this.)
