Technically speaking, haiku are not just five-seven-five-syllable poems, but are actually supposed to follow certain conventions, such as mentioning certain seasonal words. These are thus not (all) proper haiku.

I wait at the grave
despite being the only
the flowers have come

hitori demo
haka de matteru
hana ga kita

ひとりでも
はかでまってる
はながきた

一人でも
墓で待ってる
花が来た

To challenge a form
it is sometimes necess’ry
to work within it.
