This sounds fun ๐
One day a woman sat outside ๐ถ
Walked and sat beneath a tree ๐
Began to read, but soon she sighed ๐ช
Closed her eyes and went to sleep ๐ดShe dreamed of passers-by her tree ๐
Of every color, shape, and size ๐
And all that came, whether old or young ๐ฎ
Would stop to look her in the eyes ๐Now and then one would approach ๐ฏ
And gently ask the time of day ๐
โItโs nearing twilightโ she replied ๐
Theyโd nod and then be on their way ๐ฌNow and then one would approach ๐
And casually ask if they might stay ๐
Yet neither man nor woman could ๐
She firmly sent them on their way ๐And now and then one would approach ๐ก
And spew obscenities her way ๐จ
In these few times she stared them down ๐
And in their eyes saw twisted fae ๐For in their gaze she got a glimpse ๐ฆ
Of surface thoughts and secret soul ๐ณ
There were no angels, plenty imps ๐
And no oneโs heart was truly full ๐ฅBut no companion she could have ๐ฉ
Though none she would have chosen yet ๐
The human race is sick at heart ๐ท
I know but still try to forget ๐ฐUnhappily she rose from sleep ๐
To find another standing there ๐
And bending down for her to greet ๐
โYouโve got some branches in your hairโ ๐She looked down at her book and blinked ๐
Human nature, flawed eโer good ๐ฃ
But still, the last lineโs not yet inked ๐
She took the otherโs hand and stood ๐
Okay, I guess I kind of threw away the title part and just kept the emoji. Ah, well.
