If you’re looking for a carefully crafted story, one that respects canon and the tone of the original VNs while not being restricted by it, a real magnum opus for the author…you want Futari. Hitori., my previous fanfiction for Higurashi. This is an indulgent piece based on a conceit I’ve seen elsewhere, but never for Higurashi. It was fun to write and I hope it’s fun to read. (I got commissioned art for it too!)
