Life is Beautiful!

Sunlight streaming through the windows
Twenty minutes past your alarm
Feeling more well-rested than you have in weeks

Out the door to a beautiful day
To be spent at work
Where you stretch your mind and others’

And in the evening, return home
Faintly exhausted by the hours spent at toil
Returning for a well-earned rest

For dinner, a time to savor the replenishing food
But there’s no cash in your wallet
So you make a combination from what’s left over

And finally, return your your cozy bed
When you get the call

There’s no way to turn this one around.

Outside the stars are peeking through the fog
Someone is playing the fiddle on the street
People are laughing
Trees are swaying
Leaves are rustling

And a light goes out.

Leaves rustle.

Trees sway.

People laugh.
People sing.
People play.

Life is formed of crystal, exquisitely been cracked
And the basis of the beauty’s that we cannot get it back

And the fog thins.

Bonus haiku:

the best of all worlds
unlikely to be this one
we could make it so
