The rush and hustle of city life
The lonely calm of a cold blue night.Writer of daily news
Common guides, invisible clues
Text messages, e-mails, traffic fines
Service hours and “No Parking” signs.Singer of Babel’s age
Pleasantries, set-phrase
The street-corner music of lips and hands
And the hum of our mechanical companions.Dancer on a web of light
Walking, riding, driving, flight
Locations connected by the individual
Making all lives indivisible
Letting it be known that this
is
real.
