Back! As predicted, my progress through these last few episodes has slowed down drastically due to theater. But that’s okay, because Makishima can’t even bother to tuck in his shirt properly before murdering a guy.

I feel like the last post turned into me narrating the episode, rather than analyzing it (or making fun of it). I’ll try to stay a little more focused, more like Episode 1, and just pull out the parts I have something to say about.

I’ve been reading a story called ひぐらしのく頃に, or Higurashi: When They Cry. (A higurashi is a kind of cicada.) It’s a story about a small town in which a curse takes the lives of two people every year, and this year is no exception, and—
