NaNoWriMo: Social Suicide

Hi, guys. As some of you may already know, I’ve signed on to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. The basic premise is to write a 50,000-word novel during the month of November.

To this end I plan to be pretty much in hibernation when I’m not in class or rehearsing with Men’s Chorale. This is unfortunately going to include Thanksgiving break when I see my family. More practically, if you see me in real life, I’m probably busy. (Particularly if I’m wearing a random hat. I don’t usually wear hats.) So please do not disturb.

A Cappella Weekend

So, this weekend was great. Because it was full of A CAPPELLA! *grin*

Last Saturday was the (second concert of the) West Coast A Cappella Showcase, including groups from Berkeley and across the West Coast. A few readers (Ancora 2005?) might remember that this was the same event I (we) went to two years ago after Ancora’s debut at CHS. This year many of the same groups were back, and quite amazing. Personal favorites: Artists in Resonance and DeCadence from Berkeley, Divisi (haven’t seen them since the last show) and On the Rocks from University of Oregon, and of course…
